After graduating in International Trade at the University of Economics and Business in Prague, Gabriela moved to Penang, Malaysia, to take up a job in a trading company. She was responsible for the business development and sales of construction materials in South-East Asia, mainly Malaysia, Indonesia and Myanmar. This position enabled her to blend her theoretical knowledge with practical experience and gain insights into operations of a trading firm from pre-sales, pricing, logistics and customer care.
At the same time, her stay in Malaysia helped Gabriela develop understanding of local business culture and ways of working and build long-lasting and trusted personal and business partnerships.
After her return to Europe, Gabriela worked in international corporations in the fields of project management and transformations. Thanks to this experience, she learned to challenge conventional practices and seek innovative possibilities, encourage and maintain two-way communication and plan and follow timely and realistic actions.
During this time, Gabriela also enrolled to a PhD programme where she developed the ability to thoroughly analyse conditions, methodologically solve problems, reach independent decisions, and keep self-disciplined.
